Susan Weiss Budak is a consultant and author. She assisted the AICPA task forces that overhauled the not-for-profit and health care guides, and annually, she helps the AICPA update both the guides and the disclosure checklist for not-for-profit organizations. She contributes to four Practitioner's Publishing Company Guides: Guide to Nonprofit Contributions, Guide to Nonprofit Expenses, Guide to Preparing Nonprofit Financial Statements, and Guide to Religious Organizations.

Previously, for the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Ms. Budak worked on many of its projects about not-for-profit organizations. She also worked with the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) on its reporting model for public colleges and universities.

Susan Weiss Budak received the 2008 Daniel D. Robinson Accounting Award, which is presented by NACUBO to a volunteer who has demonstrated a continuous commitment to the advancement of college and university accounting and financial reporting.

In addition, Ms. Budak served as assistant controller and director of accounting services at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and as a senior accountant at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Budak received her M.M. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and her B.B.A. from Loyola University.
