Cheryl R. Olson, CPA, is the Finance Solutions Team Lead for Girl Scouts of the USA, headquartered in New York City. She is primarily responsible for cross-functional project leadership to create finance solutions for 112 Girl Scout council customers. She ensures integration of resources and team members from across Girl Scouts to effectively deliver holistic and cost saving solutions. In her previous role, she advised and provided consulting, resources and educational opportunities to all of the Girl Scout Councils across the country on a variety of financial issues. Cheryl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Cheryl is an active member of both the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of CPA's (OSCPA). She is currently Vice-Chair of the OSCPA Not-For-Profit Committee leading the planning of the 2015 NFP Conference. Cheryl has made numerous financial presentations to not-for-profit executives, CPA practitioners, and Girl Scout council leadership through the AICPA, OSCPA, NYSSCPA and Girl Scouts of the USA. In addition, she has been published in the New York State Society of CPA’s monthly newspaper, “The Trusted Professional” and monthly magazine, “The CPA Journal,” as well as the Oregon Society of CPA’s monthly magazine, “The Oregon Certified Public Accountant” and The NonProfit Times.
