Carla Gogin CPA

Carla is a Partner in the public sector practice group of Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly). She has over 23 years of experience providing audit, compliance, and consulting services to state and local governments. Carla is a member of Baker Tilly’s State and Local Government Technical Committee which is responsible for monitoring and responding to professional standards and guidance. In addition, Carla has held various firm leadership positions, including serving as the firm’s Chief Risk Officer from 2006 to 2011; and led the firm’s Assurance Practice from 2006 – 2008. In these roles, she provided oversight regarding regulatory and compliance matters, independence, external and internal inspections, client acceptance and reacceptance, the firm’s audit approach, technical consultations, and directed the implementation of new standards. Carla is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association special review committee and previously served on the AICPA’s State and Local Government Expert Panel.
