Robert Maday is a Deputy Director in the Division of Registration and Inspection. He oversees the operations of the Broker-Dealer Firm Inspection Program, which executes inspections on firms that audit the financial statements of securities brokers and dealers. In addition, since April 2010, he is the leader of the Atlanta regional office and the South Florida and Tampa satellite offices. He joined the PCAOB in 2005 as an Associate Director.
Mr. Maday draws from more than 30 years' experience in public accounting and auditing and in the banking industry. Prior to joining the PCAOB, he was a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP specializing in the securities and investment management industries. Mr. Maday also served as Chief Accounting Officer and Controller for two regional bank holding companies. He began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Ernst, now Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Maday earned a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He is a certified public accountant.
