Melanie Dolan CPA

Melanie is a Partner in the Department of Professional Practice in KPMG’s Audit Quality and Professional Practice Group (DPP). As a member of DPP, Melanie provides technical accounting, assurance and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting assistance, and provides guidance in interpreting and implementing new SEC rules and announcements as they occur. She is a frequent contributor to technical publications and is a regular speaker at various national conferences. Melanie is also the DPP Audit Sector Liaison for KPMG’s Energy and Natural Resources industry group.

Melanie is a current member and past Chair of the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) SEC Regulations Committee and a member of its Audit Practices Task Force. She previously served as KPMG’s representative on the CAQ International Practices Task Force.

Prior to joining KPMG in January 2001, Melanie was an Associate Chief Accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance at the SEC. She worked in public accounting prior to joining the SEC.

Melanie serves on the Board of Trustees of the SEC Historical Society.
