Michael Jay Sacher CPA

Michael Sacher recently retired from the role of Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for Xceed Financial Federal Credit Union. He has more than four decades of experience serving credit unions in public accounting, consulting and as a credit union executive. In 2012, he founded Protect My Credit Union.com (www.PMYCU.com), which provides an accessible and secure reporting process for credit union employees to report suspicious activity or significant internal control weaknesses anonymously.

Mike's experience includes 30 years in public accounting (1978-2001 at O'Rourke Sacher & Moulton; 2001-2008 at McGladrey). In 2008 Mike launched Sacher Consulting, providing accounting and consulting services exclusively to credit unions until he joined Xceed Financial in 2016. He also served on the Board of Directors of Simplicity Bank until they were acquired in 2014. Active in the credit union movement, Sacher has lectured extensively on accounting and governance related topics. After 45 years of assisting credit unions, Mike is now semi-retired, although still taking on part time and temporary projects where his expertise would be beneficial to credit union clients.

Sacher earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, from California State University, San Francisco and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978.
