Opus One Winery

Robert Fowles joined Opus One Winery as Chief Financial Officer in July 2006, bringing over 20 years of financial expertise in consumer packaged products. In his role at Opus One, he is responsible for strategic and financial planning, treasury and risk management, accounting, information technology, human resources and the Opus One facilities.


Prior to joining Opus One, Mr. Fowles was the Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Spectrum Organic Products, Inc., a publicly-traded company competing in healthy culinary oils and oil-based nutritional supplements.


Prior to joining Spectrum, Mr. Fowles served for 19 years in numerous capacities within the adult beverage businesses of Diageo PLC. From 1992 to 1999 he was the Vice President-Finance & Administration of Diageo’s Chateau & Estates Wine Division.


Mr. Fowles is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
