Linda Newsom-McCurdy CAE

Linda Newsom-McCurdy, CAE, is a 30-year veteran of association management and professional development. She has spent the last 17 years working for the accounting profession and managing the learning and professional development team at the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). During her tenure, Linda has constructed and implemented a strategic vision to position the VSCPA learning program for the future and provide continued value to VSCPA members for years to come, balancing online learning, human connection, and learner engagement.

Linda worked with learning professionals across the country to start the CPA Educators' Conference in 2016 and continues to work closely with her colleagues to provide support for this event. She also serves on the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Committee responsible for updating NASBA CPE standards for the country.
