Carl M. Apel CPA, CGMA, MBA

Carl Apel is a CPA, MBA and CGMA with 38 of progressive experience, including 6 years with a Big 4 CPA firm. His 32 years of industry experience include companies ranging in size from $60 million to $3 billion in the refractories, steel and high technology industries where he has performed all aspects of accounting, finance, planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well participating in an IPO and debt offering.

Carl has been an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs since 1978 and has served on the Global Manufacturing Committee since its inception, chairing the conference for the past 2 years.

In addition, Carl has served on Boards of Trustees for two educational institutions. He was instrumental in the planning, fundraising and financing process that culminated in the construction of a state of the art $71 million private high school located north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Carl holds a BSBA from the University of Dayton with a major in accounting and a minor in economics where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and 1st in his class. In addition Carl holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame where he also graduated Summa Cum Laude and was 2nd in his class.
