Nate Shubert is a Partner in the Private Client Services Group (PCS) with more than 15 years of experience in tax and entrepreneurial services, and the Tax Lead for EisnerAmper’s Blockchain & Digital Assets Group. He advises business owners and high net worth individuals on tax planning, consulting, and compliance matters. Nate helps a diverse set of businesses, particularly entrepreneurs, in the technology, digital assets, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and professional services industries, navigate complex tax issues.

Nate also has expertise in cryptocurrency and NFTs (non-fungible tokens). With the popularity of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it has become more and more critical that accounting firms have the knowledge necessary to advise clients in this ever-evolving space. He understands how fast this space moves and advises founders of NFT projects on tax-efficient structuring, tax planning, and other business consulting. He keeps his clients abreast of the digital assets space, the opportunities as well as potential pitfalls.

Nate started his career at Lurie LLP, a Minneapolis-based accounting and advisory firm, which provided clients with solutions in accounting, audit, tax planning and wealth management, serving business leaders in a wide variety of industries including health care, professional services, technology, manufacturing, real estate and more. He became a Partner in the Entrepreneurial Services and Tax Services Groups at Lurie. Nate’s commitment to client relationships had been instrumental to the firm’s success.

Active in the community, Nate utilizes his energy for good. He is in the Expert Network for Lunar Startups, an organization dedicated to promoting emerging women and minority business startups. Nate was honored to receive the inaugural Lunar Expert Award at the first-ever Lunar Startups “UnDemo Day” event. He serves on the Minneapolis Regional Chamber’s Board of Directors. Since 2020, he has served as a judge in the High-Tech Division for the startup competition, Minnesota Cup. He is a member of the Liverpool FC Supporters Club of Minnesota, and a volunteer coach for Fusion Soccer Club.
