Andrew Nix serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Governance Officer, Deputy General Counsel, and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:RF) and Regions Bank. Nix is responsible for advising the Regions Board of Directors and executive management on corporate governance best practices, assessing and monitoring the company's corporate governance framework, and serving as a liaison to external stakeholders, including institutional shareholders, regarding corporate governance matters. He also manages the Governance & Securities Group within the Legal Department, which includes governance; securities compliance; reputation management; ethics; legal oversight for Executive Compensation, ERISA, and Benefits; the Office of the Corporate Secretary; and the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program and disclosure. Nix co-chairs Regions' ESG Leadership Council, a cross-functional group charged with coordinating the company's ESG program and assisting the executive management team with the integration of ESG into the company's strategic plan. Additionally, Nix chairs the Culture & Equity Team within Regions' Legal Department.

Prior to joining Regions, Nix was a shareholder at Maynard Cooper & Gale in Birmingham.

Nix was President of the Birmingham Bar Association in 2020 and is a graduate of the Leadership Birmingham Class of 2020. He is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance, the Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham, the Board of Directors of Birmingham Corps, the Monday Morning Quarterback Club, and the United Way of Central Alabama Cabinet (Tocqueville Society New Member Co-Chair), and was recently elected to the Alabama State Bar Board of Bar Commissioners.

Nix earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Finance from Auburn University and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama School of Law.
