Maureen Berggren CPA, CISA

Maureen is a Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory Managing Director in Deloitte & Touche LLP with twenty years of experience leading business process and information technology risk assessments and controls evaluation, system and organizational control (SOC 1 and SOC 2) attestations, and ERP-based security and controls implementations. Maureen's background in accounting and business processes as well as technology enables her to bridge the gap between technical business requirements and information technology systems implementation and assessment work. She also serves a quality assurance role for SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements with large technology clients.

Maureen is the Minneapolis Risk and Financial Advisory Leader - supporting and working along-side our audit teams with respect to business process, information technology controls and security assessments. She has extensive experience with project management activities as well as providing technical subject matter knowledge. Maureen's principal focus has been working with SEC registrants.

In addition to her attest work, Maureen has also served as the security and controls lead for global ERP implementations. This role included implementing leading-practice security and control standards, and client-specific procedures to develop and maintain a well-secured ERP environment including risk-based segregation of duties (SOD), access to critical functions, and protection of sensitive data. Her primary technical focus is JD Edwards.
