Partner, Retirement Solutions, Aon

BACKGROUND Curt Young is a Partner in Aon's Retirement Solutions business located in Aon's Charlotte office. His primary responsibilities include providing retirement consulting for our clients, focusing on Defined Contribution plans as well as leading the Operations and Compliance function for the Aon PEP. Curt is a member of the Fiduciary Committee for Aon's Pooled Employer Plan and works closely with our partners in Voya Financial and Grant Thornton in providing our services through the Aon PEP. These services constitute operational and strategic delivery to our clients including incorporating legislative and regulatory changes. In this role he helps to ensure all fiduciary obligations are fulfilled to the highest quality standard. He partners with the other leaders of the Aon PEP as well as our Client Service Managers to resolve items related to plan design, implementation, ongoing operations and strategic delivery. EXPERIENCE Curt began his career in 1995 as a Defined Contribution administrator. He has specialized in serving the mega client market and worked closely with several of the Fortune 100 firms. Over his twenty-five plus years, Curt has helped clients navigate complex retirement issues, focusing on Defined Contribution plans including mergers & acquisitions, historical compliance issues, and strategic plan design. EXPERTISE He has consulted those firms in all matters pertaining to their qualified and non-qualified Defined Contribution plans, both operationally as well as strategically. With a Master in Financial Planning, decades of experience working with recordkeepers and clients, he can help provide solutions from implementation through ongoing delivery in all areas of service. EDUCATION Curt attended Georgia Tech, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Management with a certificate in Finance. He has a Master in Family and Consumer Sciences from Iowa State, part of their Certified Financial Planning program. Curt served as a member of Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) recordkeeping and trust committee and holds his Six Sigma Green Belt certification. He has served as a speaker at conferences across various Defined Contribution topics.
