Andrea Parness is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Tax Coach and owner of A. Parness Company, a niche market CPA firm based in Belle Harbor, Queens, NY, She has been in public accounting for over 30 years. Her firm which includes 7 staff members offers cloud accounting software conversions/integrations/support, business advisory services, casualty loss consulting and tax minimization planning.

She and her firm have created a proactive 3 step system for identifying, evaluating and creating solutions for her clients to enable them to grow their profits while creating efficiency in their processes. Her firm continues to offer traditional services including personal, corporate, and estate tax services and planning. She is passionate about her collaboration with local business owners regarding various aspects of the use of technology to enhance business growth.

She is a member of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP), the AICPA and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPAS). She currently serves as President of the Educational Foundation of the Nassau\Suffolk Chapter of NCCPAP and as a member of the Accounting and Tax Symposium (ATS) Executive Committee. Andrea is a member of the Virtual Enterprises International New York City advisory board and has served as a judge for their citywide business plan competition.

AccountingToday and Intuit posted a series of video interviews with Andrea regarding various aspects of her practice and the use of technology in accounting. Most recently she has been interviewed by various accounting journals and NPR’s Marketplace, and has written\published articles on current trends in accounting and the use of technology in business. Andrea has also participated as a panelist, moderator and presenter for numerous seminars sponsored by: NCCPAP, New York State Society of CPAs, Intuit, Terrapinn, The Private Wealth & Tax Institute and NY Business Solutions.
