Corey Anne Bloom is MNP's Eastern Canada service line leader
and Partner, Forensics and Litigation Support group. A leader in
her field, Corey Anne brings her clients in-depth expertise
gleaned from working on hundreds of engagements in
numerous industries.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, Corey Anne has
expertise in fraud investigations and fraud detection, forensic
accounting, litigation support, damage quantification, dispute
resolution, shareholders and multiparty disputes including trusts
and estates, fund tracing, risk management, fraud risk
assessment, anti-money laundering, forensic technology,
insurance claims and auditing. She also provides forensic
accounting and anti-fraud training.
Among her numerous accomplishments, Corey Anne was an
elected Chair of the Board of Regents of the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). She also served as a member
of the Core Team of the Anti-Fraud Guidance Paper "Managing
the Business Risk of Fraud: A Practical Guide" - a collaboration
between the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Institute of
Internal Auditors (IIA) and the ACFE. Ms. Bloom was a member
of the Education Committee Board of CPA Canada Alliance for
Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Accounting and the CPA
Canada representative to the AICPA Forensic and Litigation
Services (FLS) Committee. A recipient of the Governor General's
Award of Excellence, Corey Anne is well versed on white-collar
crime and forensic accounting-related topics and she has been
invited to speak internationally on several occasions. She was a
Subject-matter Presenter on White-collar crime, criminals and
recidivism for the Parole Board of Canada.
Corey Anne is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a
CA-designated specialist in Investigative and Forensic
Accounting (CA•IFA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and a
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She is also a Certified User of
forensic software (International). She holds a Secret Level Security
Clearance at the Federal Government level. She was a past
member of the Board, past-Chair of the Audit and Finance
Committee, as well as a past member of the Strategic Planning
Committee of Telefilm Canada. She is bilingual in French and
English.
