Jim is a Director who is responsible for the retirement group in the Boston office of PwC's Organization and Workforce Transformation (OWT) practice. Jim is a pension actuary who provides consulting and additional assistance with clients on their retirement programs. He has assisted clients with plan design, actuarial valuation, projections of funding and expense, asset/liability modelling, audit support on actuarial matters, and other special projects relating to pension and postretirement other than pension plans sponsored by clients.
Jim also provides services in relation to non-discrimination testing, top heavy testing, and assisting clients with de-risking their pension plans (including plan freeze, lump sum windows, plan termination, etc.). He completes accrued pension benefit calculations in relation to retirement, termination, death, and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs). He is also responsible for the completion of government forms (Sch. SB and PBGC) required for pension plans.
He is an Enrolled Actuary under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
