In his 26 years designing sport and entertainment venues, David has forged a vision for some of the world’s highest-profile stadium, arena and convention projects totaling over $15 billion in construction. His comprehensive experience spans all phases of project development. He values a collaborative approach to design that successfully solves all his clients’ needs related to aesthetics, program, budget, function, and schedule. Mr. Manica’s passionate commitment and dedication to balancing the needs of his clients have earned him lasting relationships with them all.
Prior to establishing his own design studio in 2007, MANICA Architecture, David worked for thirteen years as the Managing Design Director at HOK Sport Venue and Event (now Populous), where he was responsible for leading the design of some of the largest and most recognized facilities in the world, including Toyota Center, Reliant Stadium, O2 Arena London, Beijing Olympic Arena, and the New Wembley Stadium in London, England. Now, as president and director of MANICA, his company’s designs are recognized worldwide as some of the most innovative, iconic, functional, and cost-effective projects in the industry. Current and recent projects include: Allegiant Stadium for the NFL Raiders (Las Vegas, NV), The Chase Center NBA Arena (San Francisco, USA), The Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters and Training Facility (Las Vegas, NV), VTB Arena Park (Moscow, Russia), Cagliari Calcio Stadium (Cagliari, Sardinia Italy), The Inter-Miami MLS Training Facility (Fort Lauderdale, FL) The Mercedes-Benz Arena (Shanghai, China), and The Shantou Sport Park (Shantou, China).
