Anthony Alfonso

Anthony Alfonso is a Principal at BDO and co-leads the firm's United States Corporate Finance Practice as well as leading the Valuation & Business Analytics practice. He has more than 25 years of financial services experience providing valuation and transaction advisory services to a wide range of organizations and industries. Formerly an equity trader and investment banker, Tony brings capital markets experience when working with clients to provide valuation advisory services that achieve a range of business and strategic objectives. In addition to providing valuation services, his practice provides fairness opinions, business case analysis, feasibility studies, decision prioritization analysis, risk/reward analysis and financial modeling.

Tony is also experienced in valuing complex financial instruments, including cryptocurrency, contingent consideration, options and swaps, in addition to engagements involving predictive modeling. He has provided expert witness testimony in several jurisdictions related to valuation matters. Prior to joining BDO, he held leadership roles with Houlihan Lokey, providing valuations for tax and financial reporting and with a Big Four accounting firm in its economic and valuation services practice. Tony began his career in corporate finance with a regional investment bank and was also an institutional equity trader with a major international bank.
