Jeff is the Technical Practice Leader for BDO's National Tax Office Partnership Taxation group. With more than 26 years of experience, Jeff focuses on advising clients on the use of partnerships in operating businesses, investment fund structures, mergers & acquisitions, and business restructurings.

Examples of services include structuring and modeling partnership "Up-C" initial public offerings, leveraged partnership transactions, domestic and off-shore private equity and venture capital funds, and complex partnership debt transactions. Jeff has extensive experience addressing complex partnership transactions including capital account maintenance, income/loss allocations, and liability allocations. He leads development of BDO's capital account maintenance and income allocation tools.

Additionally, Jeff advises Real Estate Investment Trust clients on matters including investment structure, acquisitive due diligence, and on-going REIT qualification testing as well as developing and implementing complex section 1031 like-kind exchange transactions.
