Scott Rooney
Scott Rooney is a Surety Client Executive with Marsh & McLennan Agency in their Richmond office, where he has worked the past three years helping find solutions for clients' surety bonding needs. Formerly, Scott worked for 25 years with Zurich Surety, with his last position as a Territory Manager in the Richmond Branch.
Scott is a graduate of the University of Richmond and holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He also holds the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding certification.
Scott has been actively involved in the construction industry and its organizations. Currently he is on the Legislative Committee for the AGCVA, is a member of ABC and the National Association of Surety Producers (NASBP). He has also been a long-time member of CFMA and its Central Virginia chapter, serving on its board of directors since 1996 and as Chapter President from 2003-2006. Scott has also served on various CFMA national committees including the Conference Planning Committee where he has served since 2009. He also served on the Executive Committee from 2007-2010 and was CFMA National Secretary in 2011-2012.
Scott lives in Glen Allen, VA with his wife Sandy and four kids. He is an active member of River Road Church having served and led various committees and boards. You can usually find him outdoors either playing golf or watching his kids on the baseball or softball field.
