Laura Watson, Administrator, Office of Grants Management, U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)

• Serves as Administrator for DOL’s Office of Grants Management (OGM). OGM provides accurate, timely, centralized grants management expertise to all Employment and Training Administration offices and stakeholders across the country. Through delegated Grant Officer authorities, OGM oversees a grant portfolio of over $22 billion supporting the public workforce system by providing policy expertise to support pre-award, award, period of performance, audit resolution and closeout of federal assistance awards made by ETA.
• Prior to being named Administrator of OGM, had extensive experience in all phases the federal assistance arena with DOL, from indirect costs rates through audit resolutions and anything in between.
• Also represents DOL on the Executive Steering Committee under the guidance of OMB, which ultimately produced the modernized and streamlined regulations for federal assistance-known now as the Uniform Guidance.
