Mr. Pump is a partner in the Valuation Services practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. He has more than 20 years of financial consulting experience. Mr. Pump specializes in the valuation of closely held businesses and business interests and has performed valuations of common and preferred stock, debt, options and warrants, interest rate swaps, partnership interests, intangible assets, dividend rights, contractual agreements, loan guarantees and lost profits and wages. Mr. Pump has testified in federal, state and U.S. bankruptcy courts. Mr. Pump is a recognized authority on the valuation of businesses in bankruptcy and has spoken on the topic at the national conference of the Association of Insolvency and Reorganization Advisors, the University of Texas VALCON conference, the AICPA Web Seminar Series, the Norton Bankruptcy Institute, the Tax Executive’s Institute, the Chicago Bar Association and various banks, law firms and industry groups. Mr. Pump is a co-author and instructor of the AIRA’s certification for distressed business valuation (CDBV) curriculum. He is the author of the ‘Cost of Capital in Bankruptcy’ chapter of the 'Cost of Capital in Litigation', 2010, John Wiley & Sons.
