Don Flow received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 1977, where he was a recipient of the Arthur Gray Scholarship for the outstanding student leader. He was also a Varsity Athlete, a member of the All Academic Atlantic Coast Conference Team, and a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honorary Society. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Wake Forest University in 1983, where he was a Babcock Scholar, graduating with Highest Honors and received the Judson DeRamus Award for Outstanding Leadership.

Don is the Chairman and CEO of Flow Companies, which operates the following franchises: Audi (3), Acura (2), VW (6), BMW, MINI (2), Porsche, Honda (3), Subaru (2), Mazda (3), Land Rover/Jaguar, Chevrolet, Buick (3), GMC (3), Cadillac, Lotus and Toyota, MV-1, Nissan and Volvo.

Flow Companies' automotive awards include: BMW "Center of Excellence", Honda "President's Council", Buick "Select" and "Best in Class", Cadillac "Master Dealer", Chevrolet "Genuine Leader", Audi "Magna Society", Acura "Precision Team", and Subaru "Stellar Performer".

Don is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, and is former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Wake Forest University as well as former Chair of the Business School of Wake Forest University. He is also a member of the Board of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Culture and the McIntire School of Business at the University of Virginia. He serves as the Chair of the Winston-Salem Alliance, and is on the Board of the Piedmont Triad Partnership. He is past Chair of Winston-Salem Business Inc., and was a previous member of the Board of Trustees of the UNC School of the Arts. Don currently serves as a member of two Governor's Commissions: My Future N.C. for Education and the N.C. Business Council.

Don has received the Winston-Salem Foundation Award and the Forsyth County United Way's Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award. The Boy Scouts of America honored him with their Distinguished Citizens Award.

Don is an avid skier, reader, and tennis player. He has served on the national committee of the Davis Cup and has assisted in organizing and sponsoring three Davis Cup matches in Winston-Salem: U.S. vs. India, U.S. vs. Spain, and U.S. vs. France. Don is currently Chairman of the Board for the Winston-Salem Open ATP Tennis Tournament.

Don has been married to Robbin for 41 years and they have three children. Heather, Eric and his wife, Meghan, and Kristin and her husband, Trey Finch.
