Kim Ondreck Carim

Deputy Director and CFO, Oakland Museum of California

Kim Ondreck Carim (she/her/hers) is Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer at Oakland Museum of California, which brings together multi-disciplinary collections of art, history, and natural science with first-person accounts and often untold narratives of California, all within its 110,000 square feet of gallery space and seven-acre campus. In this role, Kim was named a CalCPA Women to Watch award winner in the Experienced Leader category.

Prior to OMCA, Kim was CFO at San Francisco Ballet, a position she held for a decade. In 2016, Kim was named the Bay Area Nonprofit CFO of the Year by the San Francisco Business Times for her work at San Francisco Ballet. Kim began her career in audit with Deloitte in New York City, eventually serving some of the firm's largest global clients as an expert in derivative financial instruments and treasury risk management.

Kim holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University and an MBA in Accounting and Finance with distinction from New York University's Stern School of Business, where she was a recipient of the AICPA's John L. Carey Scholarship. She also holds an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College and has spent time as a freelance writer.
