FOUNDING PRINCIPAL, Timothy Financial Counsel, Inc.

In 2000, Mark founded Timothy Financial Counsel, Inc, an hourly-only, fee-only financial planning firm.  Timothy Financial is a holistic financial advisory firm, serving clients ranging new graduates to small business owners or executives with a high level of complexity.  Their sole form of compensation is being paid for their time.  They do advise on investments but do not manage investments.  Timothy Financial has 10 employees, including 6 CFP's, 1 CPA and 1 CFA designation holder.

As Founder of Timothy Financial Counsel Inc., Mark's primary role is the co-leadership of the firm & serving clients. He leads the servicing of select high net worth and highly complex clients. Mark has served in the fee-only financial planning industry since 1995. He holds a BA in Economics from Wheaton College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He is also a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor where he has served as the Regional President and Chair, as well as on the National Board of Directors.

He speaks regularly at conferences on financial planning and practice management. He has been interviewed and/or quoted by a variety of publications, such as Dow Jones Newswire, The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, and Kiplinger's and has been interviewed on NBC television.  He serves as an independent trustee for Innovator ETFs and is a founding board member of Tortazo, a Rick Bayless fast casual concept.

Mark and his wife, Cheryce, live in Wheaton, Illinois, with their three sons, Joshua, Ryan and Luke and are active in their church and community.
