Mark Sutton has been with United Way for more than 18 years, where he served 17 of those years as the Chief Financial Officer of Greater Atlanta. As the CFO in Atlanta, Mark also managed the assets and liabilities for three separate and distinct funds totaling more than $100 million. Additionally, he managed the real estate operations for three facilities, which encompasses an 18-story building (leased to other non-profits), a conference center and a parking deck.

In 2015, the Atlanta Business Chronicle awarded Mark the prestigious CFO of the Year award in the non-profit category. During this same year, Mark was also named CFO of the year for the United Way network.

Mark is one of the founding members and currently leads the strategy team responsible for United Way’s LINC (Lead, Impact, Network, Change). LINC operates in 16 cities and engages thousands of early career professionals through service and philanthropy.

Mark received his Bachelor Degree of Accountancy from The George Washington University and is a member of the AICPA and Georgia Society of CPAs. Mark is married to his wife Terri of 29 years and they have two adult children, Matthew and Mitchell. He enjoys flying, golf, hiking and anything outdoors.
