Richard Hummers is an experienced "hands-on" executive with a widely diversified set of professional skills and experiences including: leading large diverse organizations, large scale/complex global project management, organizational design and consolidation, private and public company financial reporting, financial systems and process re-engineering, customer service and call center management. As an experienced leader of people, Rich understands the importance of and enjoys attracting, developing and retaining talent and building high performing teams. Throughout his career, Rich has successfully led many significant initiatives to re-engineer complex global systems and processes, consolidate, integrate and optimize support organizations, maximize efficiency, reduce cost, enhance service levels, and improve internal controls.

Rich is a Senior Vice President with Prudential Financial, Inc. where he leads the Global Enterprise Services (GES) organization. GES is responsible for a wide variety of enterprise shared services, including Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Procurement and Operations. Rich is also co-lead for Prudential's Future of Work initiative, with accountability for driving transformational change across the functional areas.

Prior to the formation of GES, Rich was responsible for leading the Enterprise Services & Systems (ESS) organization within the Global Finance Community. Rich is credited with defining a vision for and implementing a world-class financial and actuarial systems architecture which has been rolled out globally to Prudential's businesses in the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Mexico, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, Rich led the design and construction of Prudential's state of the art office tower in Newark, New Jersey. This award-winning project includes a 750,000 square foot, LEED Gold Certified, state of the art office tower, a 600,000 square foot parking structure, and 50,000 square feet of retail space.

Other key roles within Prudential include leading the Financial Information Services (FIS) organization and Department Vice President for Public Readiness.

In addition to his experiences at Prudential, Rich spent seven years at Merck & Co., Inc. where he held several Senior Management positions. In his most recent role at Merck, Rich lead the Order Management Center and had overall responsibility for customer service, order processing, credit management, billing and collections for all of Merck's domestic business. Under Rich's leadership, Merck's Order Management Center won National Awards for customer service and was widely recognized throughout the industry for its service excellence.

Rich earned his Bachelor's degree from the Lehigh University where he majored in Accounting, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Rich lives in Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. He is married and has 3 children.
