Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Russell McLendon is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Louisiana State University E.J. Ourso College of Business.
Mr. McLendon joined ExxonMobil in 2005 as a financial analyst in Houston, Texas. He progressed through a number of individual contributor and managerial positions across the finance functions supporting the Upstream, Downstream, and Chemical businesses. Over his career, Mr. McLendon had assignments in Houston, Budapest, and Dallas. His responsibilities have included a variety of roles spanning business analysis, accounting, and financial reporting.
In 2018, Mr. McLendon was appointed to a managerial position with responsibility for investor relations. In this role, he maintains relationships with institutional investors and sell-side research analysts, and coordinates various engagements with the investment community, including quarterly earnings calls and the annual investor day.
