Melanie Davidson is a lifetime learner and wholehearted leader, currently serving as the Controller for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford | Stanford Children’s Health. With over twenty years of experience, Melanie recognizes talent development and continuous tinkering as vital parts to success. Prior to joining Stanford Children’s, Melanie cut her teeth spending over fifteen years in public accounting, serving a variety of health care clients from start-ups to Fortune 5 companies.
Melanie, a licensed CPA in Michigan and California, has received a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Finance, and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan. She is a single mother who can often be found hiking coastal trails with her two young children, pounding the floor of the halau where she practices hula, or engaging in big talk and creating lifelong connections with others.
