Joy Fisher CPA
CAST Project Leader, CLA
Joy is a CPA in the state of NC with more than 15 years of accounting and audit experience, having worked in both public accounting and industry. She currently serves as a Project Leader within CLA's Consulting and Accounting Solutions Team, where she assists clients with technical accounting matters such as helping them understand, assess and implement the new Leases (ASC 842) and Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) standards.
Prior to joining CLA, Joy's experience includes working directly with financial institutions for 12 years, including serving as Chief Enterprise Risk Manager and Director of Internal Audit for community banks. Joy has prepared and reviewed SEC and financial statement filings for both public and privately held companies, and has Director level experience in helping financial institutions address audit, regulatory, risk management, corporate governance, and financial accounting issues in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bank regulatory requirements.
Outside of work, Joy enjoys spending time with her husband, David; her two sons, Cameron (age 6) and Colin (age 3); her two step-children, Courtney (age 23) and Kyle (21); and her dogs (lab and golden retriever). Despite how difficult it is at times, Joy is a die-hard NC State Wolfpack fan.
