Kathy Graham is the Founder and Principal of The HQ Companies, Inc., a group of four firms focused on strategies for corporate, board, and career growth in this digital age.

Many of her recent consulting engagements have involved identifying and recommending practical solutions for managing corporate cultural, people, and position aspects of digital transformations.

Kathy earned an MBA in Analytic Finance, Econometrics, and Statistics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from North Central College.

She has combined her experience from observing how numerous professionals through C-Suite executives actually progress or not in their careers with her academic knowledge to create the content, programs, and successful outcomes that are the hallmark of The HQ Companies.

CIVIC INVOLVEMENT

Kathy is a Board Member and Co-Chair of Membership for the Chicago Finance Exchange, an invitation-only organization of the top 250 Chicago women leaders in finance.

She led 2020 Women on Boards Chicago as Chair from 2017 to 2020, growing annually the organization's National Conversation on Gender Board Diversity, with last year's event featuring 45 private and public company board directors interacting with 300 notable attendees.

Kathy has also served for eight years on The University of Chicago's Alumni Club of Chicago Board as a Board Director, most recently as Chair of Alumni Engagement for all of the University's colleges and formerly Co-Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee.

As Kathy says, "It's all about human capital for me—for corporate growth, board growth, and career growth. It's what I enjoy, helping companies and professionals through the C-Suite define and achieve their goals."
