Eric Wilfrid

During my 24 years at Microsoft I led several product teams, including team that delivered Office for iPad and iPhone, the first full fidelity version of Office on a mobile device. Because my son Colin has autism, I became involved with the Microsoft disAbility community, which led me to become an early adopter of inclusive hiring, which led to a volunteer role as Board Chair for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games. 

Now I'm excited about trying something different: writing about inclusion and innovation, grounded in my experiences with disability and technology. I'll start with people and stories from Special Olympics and Microsoft, and then learn more beyond my current experience. I'll highlight examples of successful inclusion, explore the significant challenges that remain, and write in order to advance the full inclusion of all people with disabilities.
