Joseph DiLeo CPA

Joe is a Managing Director in the Upstate NY practice office where he focuses on leading Accounting and Reporting Advisory  marketplace activities and delivering private and public-company audits. Prior to rejoining the Upstate NY practice office in January 2020, Joe spent 12 years in Deloitte's National Office gaining significant experience in accounting and SEC reporting matters. As part of Deloitte's Accounting and Reporting Services Department, Joe's responsibilities included addressing technical accounting inquiries, formulating policies and interpretive guidance on accounting standards, and communicating with accounting standard setters, regulators, Deloitte professionals, clients and other parties interested in financial reporting. Joe specializes in revenue recognition, accounting for leases, and other topics, including statement of cash flow reporting.

Joe's prior duties in Deloitte's National Office have also provided Joe significant knowledge of SEC reporting considerations related to complex transactions, registration statements, periodic filings, and SEC comment letters to registrants. Joe also has had significant involvement serving some of Deloitte's largest multinational clients in the aerospace and defense, insurance brokers, manufacturing, shipping, hospitatility, and retail industries, including international experience gained through a two-year assignment in Milan, Italy. 

Joe is a licensed CPA and hold Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and History from St. John Fisher College.
