Theresa Austin

Theresa Austin is Vice President, Association Marketing Strategy. She has led the team since March 2018 and is responsible for the oversight and management of marketing strategy implementation. The areas she leads are: Strategy, Writing, Design, Advertising, Project Management, Production, and Analytics, supporting the dedicated efforts of the Group Insurance Association/Affinity division.

As part of her role, Theresa is responsible for creating new momentum that seamlessly connects marketing strategy to members and provides them with a better overall experience. Theresa’s team has been recognized by prestigious organizations such as LIMRA and has won several awards from APEX and PIMA.

Theresa has more than 25 years of experience in financial services and has extensive investment, sales, and marketing knowledge. Prior to joining Group Insurance in 2014, she was Vice President of Marketing and Branding at Prudential Annuities.

Before coming to Prudential, Theresa held various positions at companies that include: PIMCO, Manulife/John Hancock, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup. In these past roles she led organizational rebranding efforts, launched several products and investments, and managed award-winning creative services teams. She also implemented several top producer programs that resulted in increased sales and stronger relationships.

Theresa received a liberal arts degree from SUNY Purchase and an MBA, with distinction, from Long Island University. She holds Series 6, 63, and 26 licenses. She lives in Port Chester, New York, with her husband, Vance and nineteen-year-old son, James, who is currently a sophomore at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
