David Dunn

Managing Director, FTI Consulting, Inc.

Mr. Dunn has more than 17 years of advising multinational corporations, financial firms and institutional investors on risk and opportunities in markets around the world. In addition, he’s built and lead a series of highly successful consulting teams within the professional services sector.

At FTI Consulting Mr. Dunn leads teams that handle a broad range of cybersecurity matters including breach response, complex cybersecurity investigations, advanced cybersecurity assessments and strategy, crisis management, litigation support and investigations, source code review, cyber-regulatory compliance, and advanced threat detection and prevention.

Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dunn was Head of Corporate & Global Markets Advisory Services and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Eurasia Group, a political risk consulting and advisory firm. In that capacity, Mr. Dunn oversaw a number of the firm’s largest clients as well as managed all aspects of the firm’s primary business lines, including leadership of the sales and business development staff located in New York, Washington D.C. and London. While at Eurasia Group Mr. Dunn was responsible for implementing a number of significant firm-wide initiatives including a strategic shift from “information service provider” to “trusted advisor” by creating and building the firm’s corporate consulting practice, marrying political risk with traditional management consulting.

Prior to his work at Eurasia Group, Mr. Dunn spent 13 years on Wall Street working with institutional investors and public corporations. He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and was most recently Head of Capital Markets at Brean Capital, an independent investment bank and asset management firm. In that role, he managed the firm’s equity research, sales, and trading departments and was responsible for opening and overseeing the firm’s office in Beijing, China. In addition to those responsibilities, Mr. Dunn worked in tandem with the investment banking group where he oversaw the successful placement of approximately $2 bn in equity transactions.

Mr. Dunn received his B.A. in European History from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
