Steven E. Riedl FSA, MAAA

Steve Riedl is a senior director with Wilis Towers Watson in the Health and Benefits North America Consulting practice in Chicago. He currently provides a variety of actuarial, plan management and strategic consulting services to his clients, many of whom rank in the Fortune 500.

Steve has substantial experience in employee benefits, managed care, medical cost control and health care contracting. Among his accomplishments is the spearheading of a grassroots HMO group purchasing coalition in partnership with MBGH that has operated in Chicago since 1999. He has helped build a coalition of large employers in a direct contracting initiative, and has assisted several other employer-driven coalitions in the areas of cost and quality.

Among Steve’s current clients are a global food and snacks manufacturer; a Fortune 500 steel manufacturer; a global financial institution; and a global manufacturer of orthopedic products and instruments.

Steve joined Willis Towers Watson in April of 1997 following an eight-year career with Aetna, where he was Acting CFO and Manager of Medical Cost Control for the Midwest Region.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
