Chad Soares CPA

Chad has 24 years of experience advising clients in on a variety of complex financing transactions. Chad's clients include both corporate and financial buyers and typically require deep knowledge not only of leasing, but other related areas such as consolidation, revenue recognition and joint venture accounting. Chad recently completed a five-year tour in our National Office where he consulted on matters related to both US GAAP and IFRS. Chad has been at the heart of our firm's efforts to respond to proposed changes in lease accounting. This includes working to understand the changes and the practical impact of adoption as well as developing internal guidance as well as tools and templates that we are using on engagements with our clients. Chad was also a primary author of PwC’s lease guide and a variety of industry specific publications related to adoption.

Chad spent 10 years living in London and working throughout Europe where, in addition to advising on the areas expressed above, Chad also gained extensive experience advising on IFRS, public-private partnerships, capital raising transactions, cross-border public debt and equity offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, share based compensation and the periodic reporting obligations applicable to foreign private issuers. Chad is a regular speaker at both internal and external training events and conferences. Chad is a CPA in New York, New Jersey, Texas and Massachusetts and earned his B.S. from Boston College.
