Karen Welch CPA

Karen is a Partner at Walsh & Company, PC and serves as the Director of Quality Control and technical advisor for accounting and auditing issues for the firm. She has more than 22 years public accounting experience providing services to a variety of clients, including employee benefit plans, not-for-profits, manufacturers, construction contractors and wholesale companies. 

Karen is dedicated to enhancing the quality of accounting, auditing and attestation services performed by Certified Public Accounting Firms. Karen consults with accounting firms regarding quality control and best practices, in addition to performing peer reviews, and educates practitioners by speaking at state CPA chapters and conferences throughout Michigan regarding various peer review topics. Currently, she is Chairman of the Michigan Peer Review Task Force, a member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Board and Chair of its Education and Communications Task Force.
