LaVonne is a Senior Manager over the compliance segments of the AICPA Peer Review Program. In this role, she oversees firm cooperation, reviewer performance and cooperation, and interactions with Inspectors General and other regulators. She is also involved in initiatives related to peer review population completeness and efforts to improve governmental and single audit quality in support of the AICPA’s Enhancing Audit Quality initiatives. She assists representatives from enrolled firms and administering entities in addressing their peer review related questions, develops technical and administrative guidance for the AICPA Peer Review Program, and provides consultations on government and compliance audit related issues.
LaVonne has been with the AICPA since 2009. Prior to joining the AICPA, she was a senior manager with Dixon Hughes in High Point, NC. There she served as a firm wide staff instructor, provided assurance services, and specialized in government and single audits among other industries. She is an involved member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and is immediate past-chair of the Diversity Action Committee. LaVonne is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and licensed as a CPA in the State of North Carolina.
