Tony has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services specializing in the not for-profit and healthcare industries. He specializes in public charities and provides clients with services and works with clients in technical areas such as:  • Form 990 reporting rules and regulations; • Form 1023 and Form 1024 applications for tax-exemption; • Executive compensation; • Employee benefits; • Unrelated business income; • Governance policies and procedures; • Excess benefit transactions and intermediate sanctions; • Affordable Care Act rules and regulations; • Sales and use tax; • Unclaimed property; and • Internal Revenue Code §501(r). 

Tony also assists not for-profit clients with corporate structuring, including joint ventures with taxable entities, and the maintenance of tax-exempt status. Tony received his undergraduate degree in finance and marketing from Albany State University of New York and his Masters of Science Degree in accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. 

Tony is a member of the: • American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; • New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants; and • Healthcare Financial Management Association where he is a member of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey chapter. Tony is a frequent speaker on various tax topics for the nor for-profit and healthcare industries. He has spoken for many organizations including the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut state societies of CPAs, various chapters of Healthcare Financial Management Association, joint presentations with Wells Fargo and WithumSmith+Brown sponsored CPE sessions both live and via webinar.
