Elinor Ramey J.D.

Elinor Ramey is a partner in Steptoe & Johnson's tax practice where she advises all types of tax-exempt organizations on tax and governance matters. Prior to joining Steptoe, Elinor served as an attorney and policy advisor in the Office of Tax Policy at the US Treasury Department. While at Treasury, she advised the Assistant Secretary of Tax Policy on legal and policy matters involving tax-exempt organizations and charitable contributions, and helped develop guidance for exempt organizations, including guidance resulting from the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
