James A.J. Revels is a tax partner with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, customized, and innovative planning, accounting, auditing, administration, trust, gift, estate, and income tax services both foreign and domestic. He advises a broad range of clients, including early stage corporations, foreign corporations, bio-tech companies, not-for-profit organizations, high net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, owners of closely held entities, and foreign individuals. Jim specializes in designing and implementing tax-advantaged estate and financial strategies. As the co-chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estate Practice, he has deep experience providing clients with strategic planning, advice, and government compliance services for all types of trust & estate structures. As a consultant, Jim advises businesses across all industries in areas such as Internal Revenue Service (IRS) matter resolution, expert witness services, applications for exempt status, tax research for reporting, and business reorganization. He is also one of the international liaisons between Citrin Cooperman and Moore Stephens International.

Jim regularly writes and contributes to articles on topics such as estate planning, money management, and taxation. He is the recipient of the 2016 Max Block Distinguished Article Award Honerable Mention for an article in the CPA Jounal. His articles have appeared in the New York CPA Journal, the Insurance Coverage Law Report, the New York Law Journal, MedCITY News, and State Tax Notes, among other publications. Jim He is frequently engaged to speak on a broad range of subjects, including financial planning, tax changes, and client-advisor relationship management. He has also participated in various radio shows on the KYW News Radio network. In addition, he teaches continuing education courses for the firm and for Citrin Cooperman University, as well as others.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and serves as a board member on the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council (PEPC). Jim was recently named as one of the 2014 Top 10 Public Accounting Professionals in Pennsylvania by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals.
