John P. Overbay is a Vice President with Carlyle Global Partners. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2015, Mr. Overbay was a Principal at Broad Sky Partners – a middle market private equity firm – where he focused on Media, Communications and Business Services opportunities. Mr. Overbay joined the founders of Broad Sky from Court Square Capital Partners where he was a Principal. Prior to Court Square, Mr. Overbay was an associate at Warburg Pincus and began his private equity career at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. Previously, Mr. Overbay was an analyst and associate in the mergers and acquisitions group at J.P. Morgan.
