Mark Cohen is a Managing Director in the Capital Projects Consulting practice in the New York office of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. Mark has over 25 years of dispute resolution, project advisory, and risk management experience spanning a wide range of domestic and international engineering and construction projects in the energy industry. Mark has extensive experience in the resolution of construction disputes and the preparation of construction claims. He has managed the performance of construction and engineering analyses including schedule delay, disruption, acceleration, early completion, change orders, productivity and inefficiency, causation and responsibility, cumulative impact, differing site conditions, workmanship, damage quantification, lost revenue/business interruption, project controls and management systems, termination, construction audits and other issues. Mark has presented expert witness testimony in an array of domestic and international venues including American Arbitration Association (AAA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) arbitrations, as well as in other formal legal proceedings including U.S. Courts. He has also provided independent internal arbitration and mediation services for owners, designers and contractors involved in various types of engineered and constructed projects. Mark received his BS in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
