Mary Ann Hardy CPA

Mary Ann Hardy is a senior auditor on the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Financial Management and Assurance Team. Ms. Hardy is a member of GAO’s Standards Team responsible for developing, drafting, and maintaining Government Auditing Standards (The Yellow Book) and Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (the Green Book). Ms. Hardy holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Central Washington University, a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Smith College, and a master’s degree in History from the University of Washington. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Government Accountants.
