Ted Dickman CPA

Ted is chief executive officer of BKD, LLP, the top-tier U.S. CPA and advisory firm that delivers its experience and service with a deep understanding of your business, your needs and what it takes to improve your business performance. As a national CPA and advisory firm, BKD serves clients in all 50 states and internationally. Ted is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the firm’s nearly 2,600 personnel, including approximately 270 partners. He also is chair of BKD’s Governing Board, which sets firm policy and oversees strategic initiatives. In addition, Ted serves on the Board of PraxityTM, the 7th largest international alliance of CPA firms across the globe of which BKD is a leading member firm. Before he was named CEO, Ted was regional managing partner of BKD’s East Region and managing partner of the firm’s Indianapolis, Bloomington, Fort Wayne, Merrillville and Cincinnati offices. He entered public accounting in 1983 as a tax professional in the firm’s Indianapolis office and was elected partner in 1991. Ted focused on closely held businesses and families, providing tax, business advisory and wealth transfer planning strategies. He is an emeritus director on the boards of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, a board member with the 500 Festival Foundation, a trustee for the Beechwood Educational Foundation and financial advisory board member for Phi Gamma Delta International fraternity. Ted is a 1983 graduate with distinction of Indiana University, Bloomington, with a B.S. degree in accounting. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Indiana CPA Society.
