Bernard A. Krooks, JD, CPA, L.L.M (in taxation), CELA, AEP (Distinguished) is a founding partner of the New York law firm Littman Krooks LLP. Mr. Krooks has testified before the United States Congress on long-term care issues and is a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of long-term care and special needs issues. He is past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), past chair of the elder law committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and past chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Planning Group of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association. He also serves on the Wolters Kluwer Financial and Estate Planning Advisory Board, the advisory commitee of the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, and is chair of the elder law committee of the Trusts & Estates magazine advisory board.
