Lydia Turanchik is a principal at Mather Turanchik Law Corporation, where she focuses exclusively on tax controversy matters. Prior to entering private practice in 2008 Lydia spent seven years as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, in Washington, D.C. Lydia handles litigation and tax controversy matters against the U.S. Department of Justice, the Internal Revenue Service, California taxing authorities (FTB, CDTFA, OTA and the EDD) and the City of L.A. Office of Finance. Lydia also has extensive experience with the disclosure of previously unreported foreign holdings. Lydia is a regular speaker for the CalCPA Education Foundation and various bar associations. Lydia received her LL.M. in tax from Boston University, her J.D. from Vermont Law School and her B.A. from Tufts University.
