Sarah Sandberg

Chief Operating Officer, Colorado Oil & Gas Association

Sarah Sandberg serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA), and is responsible for COGA’s financial direction, day-to-day operations, events, programs, local regulatory engagement, and community outreach. In this role, Ms. Sandberg has helped establish COGA as a leader in innovative programming and authentic engagement strategies. Additionally, Sandberg serves as Conference Director for The Energy Summit, a prominent energy conference in the West. She is a nationally recognized speaker on hydraulic fracturing and the dynamics of Colorado’s oil and gas sector, with over a hundred speaking engagements across North America. She works with a relentless passion for the industry.

She also previously worked on communications and outreach within the Louisiana Governor’s Office, including assisting with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response efforts and several hurricanes. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is current completing her coursework within the Executive MBA at Denver University’s Daniels School of Business.

She serves on the Advisory Council for the Global Energy Management graduate program at the University of Colorado, Denver and is a board member for the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance. She is a Behind the Red Governing Council Member of the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter and an Associate Board Member of City Year Denver. She was named to the Denver Business Journal’s 2016 “Who’s Who in Energy” list and was a 2017 Top Women in Denver.
