Carolyn Warger CPA

Carolyn is an experienced audit manager working in Grant Thornton’s National Office in the Accounting Principles Group, where she focuses on the new leasing standard. Carolyn has eight years experience serving clients in the New England Not-for-Profit and Consumer and Industrial Products audit practice. She specializes working with higher education and international not-for-profits, with a focus on audits of government grants under the Uniform Grant Guidance. Her current clients include The University of Massachusetts, Education Development Center, Inc. and Root Capital, Inc. She develops and instructs accounting trainings in GAAP audits of not-for-profit entities and OMB Single Audits of Research and Development, Student Financial Aid, and USAID. Carolyn also acts as a liaison for Grant Thornton's audit practice in Bangalore, India. She has been an active leader of the New England Women@GT group throughout her career, and has developed and instructed leadership content for internal audience, external groups, and for college students. Carolyn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
